Fruit & Mixed Seed Smoothies (Countrysports Fair 2016)


  • 250ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons natural or greek yoghurt
  • Fresh or frozen fruit e.g. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas etc
  • Maple syrup to sweeten
  • 25-30g of Mixed Seeds e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, sesame etc


  1. Put all ingredients except the maple syrup into a blender and blend until smooth
  2. Taste the smoothie and if it is bitter, then add a drop of maple syrup to sweeten. If it is too thick, just add more milk
  3. Note: use a mixture of all fruits in season and when fruit is not in season, you can use frozen mixed fruit. This smoothie will count as 1-2 of your 5-a-day depending on how much fruit you put in.
